Last month, Jonah announced the next phase of BuzzFeed: It’s investing $10 million in BuzzFeed Island, a social media platform that will use AI to ensure a positive environment. Peretti wasn’t able to share too many details on what this platform will look like, as they’re mostly still TBD. But this is still a fascinating conversation about what the next phase of media could look like.
